This was a truly talented division. All 6 teams could walk into some other venues and go very close to winning. However, there were two standout performers over the course of the season and they deservedly went through to the Grand Final which was a cracker. No Gary No - fresh from taking out the Champions League on the previous Saturday - were caught off guard by a well-drilled Black Box outfit. Danny and the boys showed NGN that their win over them a few weeks earlier, was no fluke. It was a see-sawing battle that finally saw Black Box reign supreme, 4-2.

Tropical Breeze and Shirts and Skins, were dropped down into Division 2 after 4 weeks and it was clear from the outset that they would be hard to topple. It was no surprise then that they made it into the Grand Final against one another. The Breeze had accounted for the Skins earlier in the season (in Division 1) but this Grand Final was always going to be a much tighter affair. In the end, the speed, agility and perserverance of the Breeze was too much for the Skins. Kiss My Anthia was another strong performer throughout the season and wouldn't (along with the Grand Finalists) look out of place in Division 1.

Mens 3

The GF between the Rudders and Misfitz was a close affair. In the end, the Rudders just pipped the Misfitz but the Misfitz should be very proud of their season. They were coming last in week 6 yet came home with a wet sail winning plenty of games and knocking off glamour team, Prestige Worldwide in extra time (in the semi-finals). For the Rudders, they saved their best to last and had two pearlers against the Armadillos (semi-final) and Misfitz (grand-final). This was a truly close division though with little separating the 6 teams. The improvement from the Zoolanders should also be acknowledged with some hearty wins in the back end of the competition.

This was a very close and competitive division. Coming into the last round, there were 6 teams vying for 4 semi-final positions and even after week 9's results, we had to double and triple check all results to make sure we had it right - it was that close! In the end, the Shebeens faced off against the Intercepticons in a very close Grand Final. The Shebeens - easy beats last season - continued on their fantastic run edging out their younger rivals. It was a truly great season for them. For the Intercepticons, it was a disappointing end but for many of these players, this was their first season of TRL so it was a fantastic effort to make it into the GF.

Both teams earn the right to take $100 off their next season of TRL.
